If you never miss a bake sale, April 20 to 28 is for you. That’s when the fifth annual Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale will take place in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, South Africa, and other countries.

In Vancouver, Liberation B.C. plans to hold a bake sale on April 27 at 3 p.m. The event outside 3G Vegetarian Restaurant (3424 Cambie Street) will raise money for the Hearts on Noses mini-pig sanctuary in Mission.

Another bake sale is slated to take place on the same Saturday in Langley. Organized by the Langley Herbivores, this event will start at 2 p.m. at the MarketPlace IGA (B101-20159 88th Avenue) in Walnut Grove and benefit Richmond’s Bandaids for Bunnies Society.

The Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale is a project of A Well-Fed World, a U.S.-based nonprofit organization. This year, it’s expected to raise around $50,000 for various causes.
