On a recent outing to the bookstore, you may have noticed Quick and Easy Vegan Slow Cooking and Quick and Easy Vegan Bake Sale in the vegan cooking section. But did you know that the author of these cookbooks lives in the Vancouver area?
Earlier this week, I sat down with Burnaby resident Carla Kelly for an interview about Vegan Slow Cooking, which was published in April by the Experiment. (The New York-based publishing house also put out Vegan Bake Sale, in 2011.) Subtitled “More Than 150 Tasty, Nourishing Recipes That Practically Make Themselves”, the 275-page cookbook is available in paperback and e-book formats.
Kelly said she’s interested in writing a third vegan cookbook. You can read more about her cooking, as well as her reviews of other authors’ cookbooks, on her blog, The Year of the Vegan. She recently reviewed Aaron Ash’s Gorilla Food.
