The first vegan restaurant in Metro Vancouver’s Tri-Cities is turning one year old. Chomp Vegan Eatery (7-201 Morrissey Road) opened on November 26, 2011, in Port Moody’s Suter Brook Village.

Owned by Vanessa Mills, the café, which is also gluten-free, will mark its first anniversary with a celebration next Friday (November 30). Taking place between 4 and 7 p.m., the event will feature dessert tasting, gift-card draws, and live entertainment.
